Innotech Solar Extends Product Warranties
Twelve-year product warranty now standard for solar module manufacturer
Munich, September 4, 2012 – Solar module manufacturer Innotech Solar (ITS) is now offering twelve-year product warranties. More extensive durability tests on the Norwegian company’s modules are yielding excellent results, allowing the firm to add an additional two years to its previous ten-year warranty period.
„Stringent testing ensures that only faultless products leave our warehouse,” explains Dr. Thomas Hillig, Director Sales Marketing EMEA at Innotech Solar. „The high quality of our modules is also confirmed by the fact that, to date, our customers have scarcely made any warranty claims and we have never needed to recall products.” Innotech Solar is the only PV module manufacturer to carry out a hot spot prevention procedure, in which a thermal image is taken of each cell before and after optimization. Independent experts, including the Photovoltaik-Institut Berlin, Fraunhofer Institute and Max Planck Institute, have also confirmed the excellent performance of ITS modules, which are certified according to the industrial standards IEC 61215 and IEC 61730. Certificates have also been obtained for the British MCS standard as well as for resistance to ammonia and salt mist. In addition, Innotech Solar’s management systems for quality, the environment and occupational health and safety are ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certified.
